The commonly used rotary drilling method was promoted by the mining industry and later adopted by the petroleum industry. It is the most effective and widely used drilling method among all drilling systems. According to the main characteristics of the rotary drilling method, it can be called a fluid (mud, air) flushing and powerful drilling process. Drilling wells in this way is a natural development of hydrological well technology. In the United States, the early application of the slewing method was to drill water wells. Today, in oil, natural gas and other minerals and groundwater engineering, rotary drilling accounts for about 90%, which has gradually produced various forms of evolution.
